Driver CPC

With effect form 10th September 2009 new legislation requires all drivers of vehicles over 3.5 tons to attend 35 hours training in each 5-year period.

The training can be delivered either as a 5-day course, or as continuous training - one day per year for 5 years..

Any driver failing to attend the correct hours of training in a 5-year period will no longer be able to drive vehicles over 3.5 tons in a commercial setting.

• Manual Handling (CIEH). 7hrs
• Safe Loading of Vehicle. 3.5hrs.
• Dealing with Accidents/Incidents. 3.5hrs.
• SAFED. 7hrs.
• SAFED Refresher. 3.5hrs.
• Drivers Hours and WTD. 3.5hrs.
• Digital Tachograph. 3.5hrs.
• Checks and Defect Reporting. 3.5hrs.
• Risk Assessment (CIEH). 7hrs.
• ADR. 21hrs.

We want drivers to engage with this learning, not just sit in a classroom for 35 hours because they have to.
